Changes at Women in Business – Press Release

Now in its seventh year there is change aplenty at Women in Business Gympie.

Ag Solutions CEO Julie Williams assumed the leadership role at Women in Business early in 2016 and has big plans for the group. Says Julie “It was looking as if Women in Business was just going to disappear. While I certainly didn’t need to take on a new project, I just couldn’t let it fade away”

Julie has a real vision for Women in Business Gympie  and believes that it can become a far more “purposeful organisation” than it is at present. “I really want Women in Business to be a place where like-minded people in our community can get together, share ideas and experiences, and support each other. I also want to offer local business people the chance to develop their skills by providing lots of unique training opportunities, as well as the chance to promote themselves, their businesses and the community groups they work with. I know from our experience at AgSolutions that when we work together we can achieve so much more.”

Proving that Women in Business mean just that, a smart new logo has been designed which is contemporary and business like, in keeping with the future direction for the group. A lease has been signed on the historic building at 8 on Duke which has been recarpeted and painted and will become the new head- quarters. “We will have a place to call home now” say Julie, “a place to hold our meetings, conduct our training, and a venue which other businesses can rent out for their own meetings, training and presentation purposes”.

The space above will also be home to an exciting new venture called Awake Movement and Dance Studio. Abby Wake who worked as a dance, screen, and stage performer in Los Angeles for over 10 years before moving to Gympie is far more than a Dance Teacher so go to her website and find out more about this incredible lady.
