There are new things afoot at the Kenilworth dairy factory in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. The Cochrane family, dairy farmers in the region for 6 generations, became the new owners of the Kenilworth cheese factory in June 2017 and immediately set to work making fresh changes.

A NEW NAME FOR A FRESH START

First to change was the name. Formerly Kenilworth Country Foods, the dairy factory will now be known as Kenilworth Dairies.

Brand House Communications (BHC) were commissioned to re-brand and help re-launch the historic cheese factory and dairy with a new brand identity.

BRAND IDENTITY & LOGO

BHC created a contemporary, eye-catching, stylized dairy cow which has become a focal point in the new logo, with tag-line “udderly delicious, udderly nutritious”.

The new branding and marketing highlights the important connection between the new owners as long time dairy farmers now adding authenticity to the cheese factory and dairy story.

PACKAGING & MARKETING

Brand House Communications designed new cheese packaging with new yoghurt and mousse packaging still to be revealed. They created various media – both digital and print, all utilising the new branding and logo and fresh, contemporary image. The ‘Kenilworth cow’ device features in various forms throughout all marketing material, giving the public instant recognition. New signage for the Kenilworth Dairies’ factory, cafe and shop were designed as well as on site farm photography.

LOCAL SUPPLIERS

Revitalising the entire business right through to the factory, café and cellar door was also undertaken using local tradespeople. The extensive range of cheese and dairy was shot by local photographer, Leeroy Todd, and styled by Brand House Communications’ Bronwyn Wood. A large, contemporary website designed and constructed also by BHC– again using the cow icon throughout – was launched in early September.
